Historic Romeo is so much more than a destination — it’s a place to stroll, discover, and come back to again and again. Downtown Romeo has charming shops, restaurants, fabulous golf courses, orchards offering farm‑fresh produce and mouthwatering baked goods, Museums, Art galleries, and Main Street stores full of unique finds.

Nearing the notoriety of Peach Festival is “Terror on Tillson Street” Check this link out https://www.michigan.org/article/trip-idea/inside-look-terror-tillson-pure-michigan-halloween-experience. Just believe me when I tell you this event is spectacular, the homeowners are true producers, artists and crafters achieving the highest stars an event could get.

Peach Festival is by far Romeos largest and has been on Labor Day weekend for over 70 years. It’s a 4 day event with 3 parades, a large carnival, Beer tents of all kinds, Contests of many types and the town is open to engage you.

Another great peach festival event, Little Miss Peach Blossom, it was 1979, Mrs. Jeanette Hudson directed and produced a wonderful evening event, complete with segments of casual wear, talent, finally dress-up. The following week a big day for Little Miss Peach Blossom and her court as they traveled to the Detroit Zoo and then back to Romeo for dinner as guests of the Harvest Table. Labor day was 2 parades to end their special journey. Here left to right They were left to right Jill Ritchie, Jill Foltz
